Summer Tours with Elected Officials

Bike Walk Knoxville hosts Bike and Walk Summer Tours with Elected Officials allowing community members to tour different Knoxville neighborhoods either on bike or on foot, while having a relaxed conversation with elected officials from Knoxville City Council and Knox County Commission.  The chosen routes for the rides and walks show both the good and bad walking and biking facilities.  There is an emphasis on how our current and proposed ordinances and regulations address sidewalk and bike facility construction.  The tours provide participants an opportunity to engage with their elected officials in a relaxed setting ending at a brewery or restaurant where you can enjoy a cold beer!

May is Bike Month! and to celebrate, Bike Walk Knoxville be kicking off our Bike and Walk Summer Tours with Elected Officials on Thursday, May 24th!  Join us at 6pm at Caswell Park (620 Winona St. Knoxville, TN 37917) in East Knoxville where the ride will begin and end.  The route will continue along neighborhood streets and greenways to Edgewood Park in North Knoxville, including the new section of 1st Creek Greenway.  After the ride, join us at Last Days of Autumn for a beer and conversation.  Several City Council members are attending; this is a great opportunity to engage with them.

Thank you to Coldwell Banker Wallace and Wallace for sponsoring the Summer Tour Series again for 2018!
