The bike ride is definitely the center of Tour de Lights, but we've planned some extra fun before and after the ride for everyone to enjoy! Make sure to come early and/or stay after and support all the downtown businesses! A big thank you to the Downtown Knoxville Alliance for supporting Tour de Lights as a sponsor.
Come early and make sure your bike is ready to ride. Several bike shops will be providing bike checks in the parking lot under the James White Parkway bridge on Jackson Ave. They will be available from 4:15pm - 5:15pm.
REI and Fountain City Pedaler Bike Shop will be out checking bikes so come see them before the ride!
We'll have our own photographer roaming around, taking pictures of all the fun. Check our Tour de Lights Facebook page to see if you can spot yourself in the photos we take!
The Epilepsy Foundation will be providing helmets for children who don't have one. If your child is 16 and under and doesn't have a helmet stop by their table to get one (they will be set up from 4:15pm - 5:15pm in the parking lot under the James White Parkway bridge on Jackson Ave.). Children age 16 and under are required by law to have a helmet. Be safe so you can have fun on the ride!
Participate in our Costume Contest!
Decorating yourself and your bike is what makes Tour de Lights so neat! If you're going to come decorated in your best holiday cheer, you might as well enter the costume contest and enter to win some prizes! Click here for all the details on the costumes and judging.
There will be a photo booth available for taking pictures at the event. Show off your decked-out costumes and bikes by tagging Tour de Lights when you post them.
Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market will be providing cookies and hot beverages following the ride in Market Square. Don't miss out on the chance to cozy up in the cold with a warm drink and a tasty cookie!
