Advisory Committee

The Bike Walk Knoxville Advisory Committee is made up of individuals who are knowledgeable about bike and pedestrian issues including government transportation planners and engineers, public health staff, UTK faculty, elected officials and community advocates. Members of the Bike Walk Knoxville Advisory Committee provide expert advice on biking and walking issues that impact the Knoxville area. The committee meets with Bike Walk Knoxville staff and volunteers bi-monthly to assess and evaluate the organization’s progress with its stated goals.

Bike Walk Knoxville sub-committees have been created to implement initiatives/campaigns consistent with the organization’s mission and goals. The sub-committees are: Vision Zero, Neighborhood Engagement, and Advocacy. The chair of each sub-committee analyzes issues and works with BWK staff and sub-committee members to develop an action plan. Sub-committee findings and recommendations are used by Bike Walk Knoxville to make final decisions regarding organization objectives and programs.
