Bearden Middle School Remote Pickup Rules

 Community Rules Agreement

We, the students participating in the Bearden Middle School Remote Pickup, to make our program as fun and safe as possible for everyone, commit to the following rules we have agreed upon. 

Follow all traffic rules and only cross the street at safe intersections

Look left, right, left, before crossing. Watch for parked cars. Walk facing traffic when possible so cars can see  you. 

Stay alert, watch for cars

Be aware of traffic sounds and what is around you. Always stop, look, AND listen.

Kids in the middle

Make sure one adult is in front of the group and one adult is in the back at all times.

Stay away from the edge of the sidewalk

No toes over the curb unless during a safe street crossing. Walk single file if sidewalk is narrow.

Speak at a normal voice level, walk at a normal pace

Talk with your friends and have fun, but remember we are walking as a group, near a street and will be walking by people’s homes. Be respectful of your school’s wider community and make sure you are always able to hear directions from your leaders.

Stay together

Stay on the sidewalk at all times and keep the group from getting too spread out. 

Hands and feet to self

Be respectful of self and others, do not push or shove at any time. 

Have fun and be safe. Be safe and have fun.
