Public Class at Safety City

Join us this summer for our Kids Love Bikes program!

Bike Walk Knoxville is excited to offer our Kids Love Bikes program at Safety City this summer! Kids Love Bikes is a youth bicycle education program designed to teach youth everything they need to know about bike safety, handling, and maintenance. Join Bike Walk Knoxville for a 3-week, 6 class Kids Love Bikes program. This co-ed class led by certified instructors will cover hand signals and riding position, controlled starting and stopping, bike safety checks, parts and functions of the bike - plus much more! Please be aware, your child must already be able to ride a bicycle without training wheels to be able to participate in this class.

If your child loves to ride and is ready to learn more about how their bike works and how to ride with control and confidence, this is the program for them!

Designed for boys and girls ages 9-10, the program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 21 - August 6 from 9:00 - 11:00am. Each two hour class will provide engaging, hands-on  bike education designed to help children build skills and confidence while riding their bike.

Participants will learn:

  • Basic bike handling skills
  • Fundamental bike maintenance and safety checks
  • Techniques to improve confidence and control while riding

By the end of the program participants will have a stronger understanding of bicycle safety, improved bike handling skills, and greater confidence riding independently.

The program will be taught by League (of American Bicyclists) Cycling Instructors (LCI’s). Parents/guardians are not required to stay during the class and may drop off their child and return for pickup at the end of the class.

The cost for the 3 week program is $100 per child. The deadline to register is Sunday, July 19th, however spots are limited so register now!
